Home sales were up in October over September. The best sales numbers are in the under $100,000. range: sold ratio is 1 in 10. The lowest is in the over $300,000. range with only 1 in 50 selling. 740 new listings came on the market but only 355 listings sold during the month. That means 91% of the homes on the market didn't sell. Approximately 40% of the homes sold were short sales or pre-foreclosures.
